Adult Learning Description:
This course provides a detailed overview of Microsoft® Office XP, including the following: changing the look of a document, presenting information in tables and columns, proofreading and printing a document, getting to know Excel, making changes to your workbook, performing calculations on data, filtering and reordering data, combining data from multiple sources, creating charts, focusing on specific data using filters, creating a PowerPoint presentation, working with graphics, adding and modifying slide text, printing a presentation, and altering document appearance.


Attendance Requirements:
Students can choose to attend for two class meetings.


Objectives:
During the course, students will experience the following:
1. Document file types and text parameters.
2. Overview of basic Palettes and Menus.
3. Techniques for adjusting font style and size. Formatting line spacing and tables.
5. Adjusting margins, footers, and placement of page numbers.
5. PowerPoint slide creation, transitions and title pages.
6. Creating tabular data and formulas using Excel.
7. Designing newsletters and announcements in Publisher.
8. Video or web options for presentations.
