Adult Learning Description:
Looking for a job, whether you are an entry level candidate or someone with experience, can be a brutal and disheartening experience. The process of looking for a job can become a full-time job itself. With so many candidates for each position, employers are looking for any reason to discard your application. Address your letter "to whom it may concern" and you're already at a disadvantage. Should your resumé be emailed or snail mailed? Is more than one page okay? When does a follow-up call make you look eager, and when does it border on stalking?

Attendance Requirements:
Students can choose to attend for two class meetings.

Objectives:
During the course, students will experience the following:
1. How to create objective statements for employers.
2. Education and relevant certified experience.
3. Employer history and distinguishable job duties.
5. Using action words and trigger phrases.
5. Supplying references and reliable data for contacts.
6. Creating a cover letter to emphasize skills.
7. Organizing ideas using occupational language.
8. Methods for following up with potential employers.
