Adult Learning Description:
In this course, students will learn the basics of layout, designing and developing a web site. This course offers easy-to-follow lessons that include the basics training of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and CSS web design. Topics that will be covered include organizing and planning web content, developing color schemes, designing graphic elements, creating a navigation menu, and many other essential techniques of web design. Learn how to add links between documents, insert images, create tables for positioning, insert multi-media elements, and work with ftp programs.


Attendance Requirements:
Students can choose to attend for two class meetings.


Objectives:
During the course, students will experience the following:
1. How to create HTML pages using a text editor.
2. Creating links and site infrastructure.
3. Uploading content to remote servers using ftp.
5. Tools for creating tables, defining colors and borders.
5. Optimizing imagery and fonts for internet viewing.
6. Creating tables and cells for cross platform compatibility.
7. Formatting text using cascading style sheets.
8. Principles of effective navigation.
